And don't most Kaloshnikov's throw the case fairly far for a weapon, I have been told that it is thrown far to confuse the enemy sound wise, a mistake that was actually a good thing. How can it throw the case directly down if it goes quite a ways out there. I see no way this could happen unless you mean it throws the case down in the chamber and somehow flies out at some massive speeds, which still makes very little sense. I have not seen anything that says the SCAR's extractor is like a Kalashnikov, which I am going to refer to as an AK because Kalashnikov is getting annoying. Unless the M249 has a double lug bolt, which is possible. The SCAR uses a similar bolt and extractor to the M249 LMG SAW.
I have never fired a SCAR, and never actually gotten to mess with one. But I have Fired a wide array of the AK series, and done some good overall messing with, taking it apart and examined it. I have never used an AK108 though.
And if you are talking about the gold i think you are talking about, the L has more of a goldish sheen, while the H is more of a copper.
Since I know you all want to know, I know some guys in a SWAT team and they get me in to mess with this stuff, and let me try it out. The fact that the AK series ejects the cases further than normal has got to be best displyed in us on the range trying to find them. and it's not in a nice even pile like the M4 or M249, they come out at an uneven rate and scatter everywhere.
And should we gain any .50 weapons, which I doubt we will, but it needs ot be said, Barret, the leading .50 weapon maker, has started using a .416 caliber, which flies much flatter and more of a rotation, making it much more accurate, even though the .50 was fairly accurate, the newer smaller version is better, and since it is smaller, it was made more for piercing.
