This is what often leads to lag... Most games use low detail eye candy so the server and map isn't laggish to users with older graphics/video cards.

Things such as shatterable mirrors, Coke bottles, etc.; are used for stuff like that to give it a more... realistic standpoint...

i stand by the idea that its up to the map maker to add these things. these map strategies are not neccessary to be in the game's engine code but in induvidual map's coding. So, if you want to see this thing, learn to map yourself or have another mapper help you.

Who would want to try and make a full mp where the action is surrounded by john's. lol. I say the map should be like (just like not exactly) a gas station, it is blocked off, the terrorists are trying to plant a bomb and blow up the pipeline leading straight to a fuel dump causing to explode. The map would have a garage, pitstops, an office, of course the john's, and some cars for cover.

along with a decent-sized hotel. not the crappy "I can sprint from one side to the other" one we have now.

TT should hold an unofficial TCE map registration so that the good third party maps can be filtered out from the crappy mediocre ones. One stepping stone towards that is the fact thet there is now a filter for pure TCE servers only.

You know, most public bathrooms I walk inot, have all the doors open, why would someone walk around and shut them all, that means that if you do shut themall, the enemy has already caught you, or the enemy knows you are in there. So I really see no point in making a huge bathroom full of gimics that few people will use, most players on TCE use mroe of a rush and kill tactic than a wait and kill tactic. And few people would take the time to devise what stall the enemy will open first, and throwing a grenade in the first option picked by the player, and even if you do, the chances of the enemy openeing that stall are 1 to how many stalls there is, the player won't nesecarelly open the 1st one, what if the player has a bad mouse and turns slow, they are more likely to open the stall they end up in front of, not the first or last. and usually by the time the player decides to open a door, the nade will go off and then the enemy will know the player is not in there. So then, you just helped your enemy in deciding what stall you are in. And what did you desine that bathroom for, the Chinese military, public bathrooms usually stick with more of a 3 or 4 stall ratio. So in the end, all that really happens is a fancy bathroom gimic ends up being a waist of time and cost. People would probably be more likely to hide by a stall and wait for the enemy to enter the room rather than to think up a massive worthless startegy. And then theres the psitioning idea, if you are standing in the stall peering over the top, all the player will see is a head, he shoots, boom, instsnt head shot, and, with the player standing in the stall, getting his gun up fast could be hard in such a confined area, he would hit it atleast once on the way up, giving the enemy the advatage, the only I can see is if the player gets his gun up and sets it on the stall walls or door, but that only gives the enemy the heads up of where you are. so he then know what stall you are in and no point in the stall strategy now. Should I go on with the sound problems of a bathroom and all of it's other waists?

this was already said about it. Not a good idea. Noone wants to play TCE in the toilet.
