if the swinging goes, snipers will have to be removed PERIOD.
it's about all there is to help balance them, and even that's not enough.

any gun when held will have x amount of swing, a sniper rifle is no exception.

I think, if anything, swing should be lowered for prone, kept the same for crouching, and raised for standing/leaning. if sway is removed, then I"m leaving this mod, and telling everyone I know who plays ET that it's a railgun fest.

and, maybe te devs did make it so that the further away from teammates, or the more enemies around you, the less accurate weapons are.

swinging should be removed,
you must be friggen retarded if you swing A sniper like that.

i dont understand why people dont like snipers,
when snipers are actually the modern day archers,

snipers have been taking A big role in history,
russian snipers have been
eliminating importent german nazi generals and VIP's

snipers have been saving many lives,
snipers have been saving they're fellow team mates in war,

you should respect snipers!!
they're the invisible assasins, they could kill evryone with just 1 shot,
"1shot 1kill"

so snipers should not be removed, i thought this game whas "true combat"

it is "true combat" and who in thier right mind would ring a remington bolt-action rifle with a 3x scope to a battle at 20 feet?

also, think of the zoom, you are actually seeing what it is like about 100 feet away.

evryone considers SNIPERS as A powerfull weopon that keeps killing nonstop, and spoils the fun.

BUT YOU GUYS FORGET THAT SNIPERS HAVE A WEAK POINT TOO,

EVER HEARD OF SMOKE?

smoke hurt EVERYONE DUMBASS!

a sniper WILL be abused in ALL gametypes if all scope sway is removed.people will be going for a one-hit kill and being able to pick off anyone in thier field of view.

and, snipers have an advantage over everyone else when it comes to smoke: the zom allows you to see through thinner layers of smoke more easily than if you were using your M16.

yeah, what kind of sniper rifle? are you sure tis a sniper rifle or just a hunting rifle with a scope? some military snipers are very heavy, and they are heavy becasue the barrel is heavier (stronger) than regular guns. A heavy barrel makes the shots more accurate. Yuor right about how snipers are trianed, but the rifle will continously move in a swaying motion. The trick in the game is reduce your mouse sensitivity when playing with a sniper rifle. If your mouse sensitivity is high, even a small move on the table or slight twitch of your hand like "clicking" will move the mouse. One trick is to bind primary fire to another key on the keyboard. With your mousesensitivity reduced, and you fire key on the key board, this will make you shots more accurate. You should only have high sensitivity when you are trying to use the SPR and aiming for a headshot on moving targets.

it depends where and how you trow it,
if you trow the smoke at the wrong direction, no wonder you will hurt people,
it seems you have been trowing smoke at the wrong direction the hole time,
since the first day you've played TCE.
no wonder you say something like "smoke Hurt EVRYONE DUMBASS"

if you got an I.Q thats above 115, you will always find A way to avoid those campers, but i can see you that type of kid that keeps heading to the same direction when you probably know you gonna get killed by the sniper,

but, you can always trow a smoke right?
but no, this "it" guy thinks trowing smoke will hurt evryone.

here's the thing, you didn't get what I meant, smoke not only reduces a snipers effectiveness, but that of all other weapons due to it's opaqueness.

I have much experience with smoke grenades, I laso know how to use them strategically as distractions to lure enemies into traps. I have been using smoke grenadeswith much effectiveness since I first started playing ET (Covert ops have smoke nades)
also, sway on sniper rifles is mostly from fatigue. try holding an oddly shaped, 10-20 kg object in your arms after running to your cover, and then holding it for 20 seconds.

also, though I sometimes rush campers and be killed by them many times, it is for 3 reasons:
1. to become aware of thier position so I can hopefully sneak up and shoot them
2. so I can get an idea of thier general direction, so I may throw a flashbang at them, and them finish thm off.
and finally
3. so I can get them cocky, and when I assemble an entry team of more than 1 person, we can easily take him down.

smoke wont stop me.. nor will fog. try to hide in fog against me.. BANG.. one in the head. Too rush a camper, move back slowly, throw a smoke nade, go around another way. You shouldnt run right into the camper, he has advantage because he is already ready for you. If you want you can shoot of a few rounds to make him thing your there, then quickly get around him.

you're not serieus and you just overblow things right?
because how you gonna shoot someone when you cant see him clearly...

i know that i've succeeded A couple of times
to kill someone when he whas hiding in the fog,

thats what i call A "blind-shot" its means you can sense/feel
where he might be, even when he's hiding in the fog,

but thats something that happens really rarily,

no, not blind shooting, i seldom do that, and thats not useful with a sniper rifle agaisnt enemies that maybe just hiding a few feet away. I look for silohettes, usually there are no animations in the map. That means that any silohette that is moving is an enemy. I know they are not one of my team because my team wont be sneaking back to our spawn but sneaking out towards the enemy. I got alot of people this way in many FPS games with fog. They think they covered up, they are, but what they dont know is they are making a silohette. Another trick would be to look for the starbursts, if they are behind fog visible range and they start shooting there will be a star burst / gun flash. I just aim at the center of the flash and theres your kill.

I use that method too, works well for me. also helps if you turn on that blue arrow, and maybe practice with a friend walking through fog/smoke as an ally on a local or pass.protected server.
if you have an automatic, a little spray and pray won't hurt too much ( I use the irons to get me an idea of where I"m shooting.


also helps if you go on a team that usually uses smoke for cover (specops on railhouse in BC) and learn the main paths people follow.

off topic: ever notice tha when you lean, the smoke rotates? freaky!

you shouldnt spray if your not rely sure, for all who know the guy might see you and shoot back with much more accuracy. the trick is waiting him out, until you get confirmation that he is an enemy, lay of the trigger and wait for him to make his move, noramally they will try to spray and it wont be accurate.

well, you guys have been killed someone while he whas hiding in the smoke,
but you guys did saw some layers of the model,

well i have killed someone when he whas totally invisible in the smokes,
you couldnt see him.

and it takes skills to do that

it takes a big monitor to see their star bursts thru fog/smoke, and it takes luck to pull of a blindshot with an SPR. Its harded to do with the spr because it takes 2 instead of one shot to kill, unless its a headshot. Headshots which are really easy with the SPR's accuracy and low recoil compared to the other sniper rifles.
