Ok yall know that key W is forward
and key A is walking left sideward
and key D is walking right sideward

and you got the key Q and E...
thats if you wanna focus on the left or right angle...

you can use key Q and E
when you stand up..
and when you croud..

but you cant use the key when you prone down

now my idea is, when you prone.. you should able to use key Q and E,
but the function will be changed...

instead focusing the right and left angle...
you will role left and right ...
key Q is for roling left..
key E is for roling right...

this is usefull if we in A corner... like when you front of A wall in A corner...
you role left or right... kill A enemy
and role back to the position you were when you were infront of the wall...

and when you role the hole camera view roles with you to make it A realisitc effect..

what yall think about this???

Joint Operations hat this and it worked quite good, I think. Problem would be ET's animations.

thats the same thing in America's Army. ive tried to ge tthem to implement something liek before as far as i remember. it is a good idea, but still requires some work on the ET/Q3 engine to get right.

i think that could also be done with the
key Q and E when you wanna role left and right,

because someone in the main forum suggested "gradual leaning"

example:

if you wanna lean left and right,
you press key "Ctrl"
than you steer your mouse left and right to lean left and right,

(and this person also suggested "gradual crouching")
example:

when you're behind A crate, in A crouching position,
you should able to move your body up gradually,
so you can slightly see whats infront of you, while hiding behind A crate.
so the enemy wont see your hole head or torso.

if this feature will be implented,
than key Q and E, would be free to use for rolling.

you could always double tap, because if the mouse was limited to body movements, how are you going to look around like say.. behind you? but you could do the same thing with a combo of lean and strafe.

but im gonna try to answer it, correct me if im wrong.

"Gradual Leaning" is basicly the same like when you hold key Q and E.
but the difference are... you can move manually/gradually,
and its even more easier to steer your mouse left and right to lean left and right.
because... leaning on the left side is not that easy and proper like when you lean right.
because if your leaning right, you still can move right and left very easily.
but when you try to lean left while holding the key Q,
its quite difficult to move left and right while leaning on the left side.

and thats because if you lean with the key E, your fingers can reach allot of keys,
but when your hold the key Q, evrything is limited, your still able to move left and right, but it takes allot of skills and effort to be able to master that. and sometimes i get cramps on my fingers if im trying to move left and right while leaning on the left side,

thats why gradual leaning is way... easier.
you just press "Ctrl" once, than steer your mouse left and ride, to lean left and right. and your fingers can reech all the keys quite easily.



well.. just press "Ctrl" again real fast, than you will unlock the gradual mode. than quikly turn around.

technically, some of us are used to the lean-while-moving-while-looking around thing already as it is. Once I leaned around a wall in Dockside, threw a nade up so that i would drop on the ledge. What I did was lean near the wall, move in closer, look up, cook the nade, and release. All that simultaneously will jsut come to you naturally after a while. The terrorist died from the blask, it landed right on him, a perfect nade kill.

How about role straight forward?

-from standing position
-crouching position
-proning position

that too.

prone, and role left and right, is quite useful
when you and your team-mates, have to get inside A small gap on A wall,
you can prone and role to get inside,
but you have to do it turn on turn with your team mates,
it give you A real teamplay feel,

in ravenshield you could hold down a key and lean as little or as much as you wanted, in any direction, controlled by the mouse. i think kozak6 plays ravenshield too, maybe he can explain more.

I actually agree with sideways rolls, it would sure help with ducking in and out of cover when you're prone, and I am 99% sure that real special forces are trained to do this.

everyone who does urban tactics training or any kind of combat training these days has to know how to do that. Cops, SWAT teams, SF, Navy SEALs, etc.

I think that has been posted by others and myself a long time ago. It is better to double tap for additional commands rather than reaching for another key on the other side of the keyboard.
