And people that playing those games (or when it comes time to try them out) aren't a sign of respect already? FU and your arrogance. Developers aren't on a higher scale, just because other people don't desire to pursue the same agenda. We all give up free time to do the things we want.
Take you're idea of respect and SHOVE IT.
I never said Developers were above anyone else. I'm just saying that you need to respect the fact that some people give up their free-time to give you pleasure. Same way I respect your or anyone elses decision to not help or develop or even play the game.
Don't take for granted the work we do as developers (as its not a very easy job, but boy I wish it was

). And in the same way I try not to take for granted any of the work the players put into a game, into telling us developers what we need to do to 'fix' this or 'tweak' that. Cause its obvious we do not always choose the most appropriate route for everything but we try and we are usually thinking in the best interests of the game. Of course the the community is a huge part of a game and such the saying goes,
"Don't build a community around a game, build a game around a community."
So in essence, if you don't contribute (in any way) and just bash around developers, you deserve no respect yourself (although many would still give that respect regardless). Respect gets you places in this world, and it should.
