true..
but forums are also open for dicussions, you should be able to open any kinds of discussions that you wish, the meaning of a forum is to share each others opinion/perspective in a mature decent way.
but some people on this forum arent capable in doing that, infact some of them dont even read the first post.
if they really think the hole idea is stupid than why do they even reply, people are always allowed to post their opinions/critics on my threads.
but like i said.. it should be more in a decent and mature way.
meaning: no useless sarcasm. no off-topic posts. no kiddy insults,
but just pure mature discussions.
Look, this is a forum.... if you don't want to be criticized, then don't post.
Not everyone is going to agree with you, and we all have the right to say so.
I contribute to the community... I post ideas.... but my ideas usually are well thought out and aren't just some random idea that popped into my head 3 seconds ago. I made a recent thread about possibly adding Full-Screen Antialiasing and Antistropic filtering, and I didn't get any negative feedback whatsoever... why? Because I didn't waste my time telling people they were wrong, and clinging to the idea like it was my dying child.. I set back, listened to what people had to say, and then replied in an adult and mature manner. I'm not the one whining,
YOUR the one who doesn't ever let an idea die. You go on and on about something that people constantly tell you
CANNOT BE DONE or definately won't be done.
Have you ever stopped for a second and thought that you were possibly..... wrong?
Is that a completely foreign concept?
If someone who knows what their talking about says
"there is no way you can do that on this engine", then that's it.
You obviously haven't a clue about any of the technical aspects of making a game or using a specific game engine, so what exactly is your argument when you are confronted with the fact that something isn't possible?
You can't do anything, all you can do is further emphasize your idea blindly, and hope people come around.

Ok, to get back on topic, stylized character models are usually found in arcade-type games. Games focusing on raw realism don't have any need for style. The maps look good, and there is nothing wrong with that, but the added details to the maps contribute to the atmosphere and overall feel of the game.... a new character skin thats more aesthetically pleasing does not contribute to the game at all, and as I said before, is just more work for the devs.
