hello

i just will let you all know that i try to make a map for cqb.
here are some pre alpha screenshots of my map, i think its done for 20% percent or so :D ! my inspiration to make a map for cqb comes from an old sof2 map called mp_fabrica, lol i never played that map xD just was seeing only 20 in game pics ... now i wanna have that nice looking map for cqb :D

Skybox looks pretty much horrible.
Ground textures look very low resolution and very repitive.
Needs something more than plain houses and streets.

I think simple (but larger) level designs are GREAT! OTC (Original True Combat) had some outstanding simple maps, where larger scale made all the game's weapons necessery, and made balanced use of the Q3A engine's render budget qute nice.

There was one Fan map in particular that was an air field with a cargo plane, that while it had some render and design issues was a very well crafted map that was enormous fun.

agreed, i love old Tc Maps like cityheat and baughenbiet (baughenbiet was not any special in terms of desing and visuals, it was first map i played. But i still like it more than others)
