What's up with the 16:9 must be format ?

Yerterday when playing there were a lot of disapointed players about the damm letter box option. There are lot of people that don't have widescreen monitors, why i have to play in that resolution, i've played a lot of ame and mods and it's the first time it happens to me!

Its not suppose to be deliberate but TCE uses the default settings you made in WET. I have yet to try it out but first try to set the game to actually use letterbox so that it detects that you selected letter box. Later on, try switching that back to 4:3. Im not sure if that will work yet.

I tried looking in my etconfig file to see if I could fiddle around with it in there, to no avail. I loaded WET and then through the mod menu, TCE. Still no change.

We are going to need a way to fix this, because its near impossible to play when you are squinting the entire time.

Im not squinting, it actually is pretty good because it gives better fov left and right making it easier to spot targets to your sides. The only bad thing I see in widescreen are the black spaces on the edges. But above all, its actually perfect.

so it isn`t an advantage to have a widesreen monitor?

on my display the grafic looks pressed in the width. my enemy is small like stick-figures and not easy to hit. yes, i tryed to switch other resolutions

Really? I dont have anyproblems making hits? Infact my hiplevel shooting was much more accurate and I can snap on targets faster because I can see where they are going.
