i wonder if the devs can make the chrome pistols gleam, currently the chrome on desert eagle looks a bit unrealistic, and is it sepose to be chrome or is it just grey? but 1 thing is sure... its pretty ugly, it would be nice if the chrome could look/gleam like the pistols on this picture: http://image.lik-sang.com/content/nextg ... game4l.jpg |

Your thinking of adding a shader to a weapon. The WET engine from what I know cannot support that type of stuff such as reflective surfaces (Unless your dealing with a mirror) And I never noticed the desert eagle to have a chrome like surface. But if you think it's realistic, I'm sure the dev's can create an all black Desert Eagle much like this one. ~Silentcrisis |

Deasert Eagle is more of a flat silver, no shiny, but it is silverish, and it also comes in black, I would like to see a black desert eagle. ![]() |

Did you mean to edit your post Shiro? Oh well, it doesn't matter. I actually have a Chrome Desert Eagle Airsoft gun made by Tokyo Marui. As a matter of fact, the Chrome Desert Eagle is only shiny when you thuroughly clean it. So, in the face of battle, I doubt that the Chrome Deagle will retain it's reflective and shiny qualities. ~Silentcrisis |

It will if that situation you were talking about doesnt involve jumping into the muddy ground and desert sands. |

Well, I think the real point is that it might not be possible to create a shader with the WET Engine. It would be pretty cool if we did have a reflective or if we could give it a "gleam". ~Silentcrisis |

its possible to make a reflective surface but not with the quality and style of reflectiveness seen on a chrome plated weapon. |

yep. the best chromed or metal-plated weapon will dull/scratch with regular use anyway, and these people are abusing them (damn gun-beaters) besides, most guns jam from sand *cough*M16 failed the Vietnam war test 'cause of it *cough* |

the M16A1 failed alot because it was a piece of junk. until now the M16s still have those constant jams and problems plus the fact that they need alot of maintenance. I guess thats one of the reasons why the AK is still better than the M16 and its variants. Why have gleaming guns anyway? they give away your location. Maybe if you were a collector or a *I need a large hot beef injection ♡* hitman who wants style, but personally, having it in chrome doesnt make sense unless its for display. |

Hmm, you bring up a valid point Xeno. If you were a sniper, you wouldn't want a pistol at your side that reflected any light. ~Silentcrisis |

I probably might cover up the scope with something that is see through but would not be as shiny. |

Dragon's not talking about a Deagle at your side that reflects light like a friggin' signal mirror, just a nice gleam like that on the barrel of the Benelli. It's entirely possible and would add a really nice touch (and some realism). In life, the Deagle gleams like an old quarter dollar, not chrome-like as some people think it does. BTW, I'm not sure if you guys knew this, but the current 0.48 Deagle model and texture is that from the original True Combat. The only thing different between the TC and TC:E Deagles is the reload animation and the sounds. Hopefully they update it. |

Oh, I'm sorry Azure... I mean Rosso... ![]() I'm not too sure if shaders can be applied to objects in the WET Engine. But, you have more accounts than me, therefore, you must know more than me... ~Silentcrisis |
