No, I don't think so. Some people decompiled the official maps but that's about it. |

Thanks, did Dimstar ever post his decompiles? Pretty sure he has all of the official maps decomp'd. |

The original map sources are around but it really depends on why you need them. I have another mdk that has examples of most things possible for TCE with ET engine if that is better for you? If you are looking to port the maps to a newer/modern engine in most cases its easier to directly port the bsp instead of messing with .map files and i am not sure anyone would be willing to give you original map sources for (TC:E) if they are gonna end up outside of True Combat. You can of course decompile the bsp your self - the results will be a little garbaged but if all you want is geometry/brush work then it doesn't matter if things are a mess. |

Sorry I was so late to respond, I'd like the sources for the original official maps because I'd like to start mapping for TCE and would like to do my own edits of the maps as you've done, Dim. |

As far as I'm aware, The only actual maps that have sources available are Downside, Snow and Sample, and Possibly .45 Harbour too. Any other map you have seen has been a BSP Decompile or remade from scratch. - I am sure I .rar a whole heap of .maps and assets years ago and shared them - I also remember updating/sharing the MDK for tce/cqb including the official compiler. but a lot of stuff I no longer have. |

Well shoot man, I gotta apologize to you then, I had you pegged as a gate-keeping asshole this whole time but it sounds like you've been the polar opposite of that, for that I'm sorry. Speaking of map sources, is it at all possible to somehow convert a Valve Goldsrc/Source map into a .map? I'm only looking to bring geometry over to have a base to work with but I'm having a hard time doing so. I know the mp_office was based on a map from SOF but have you attempted to bring over a Valve level? |

mp_office is from Counter-Strike, There is that other office map in TC that i think might be from SOF. Regards: Valve Goldsrc/Source - I have some tools that im sure you could do with. I'll message you at Discord |
