Anyone know of a site or group called Bonus Stage.com? They seem to have modified TCE pak files that contain edited backgrounds and modifed UI scripts. They might be redistributing modded TCE clients, I will confirm on this. |

Nope, never heard of them/it (then again, I'm not really all that active in the TC:E community as it is, but whatever). But yeah, that's not a good thing... are you saying you know for sure that this modified content actually exists, or is it just the word on the street? |

This guy http://www.truecombat.us/forums/viewtop ... 8853#18853 says the shortcut to TCE loads up the game but he cant connect to a server as he is missing some files. He showed me the screenshots of his error message and the console, he has a different background (Solid snake, obviously the work of a mediocre modder), and the console has 2 warnings on modified UI scripts . \\ Abbove all that he did mention reinstalling TCE again once and I dont think TCE installs with Solid snake.. so chances are he's got a modifed client. Lets wait for the reply and see. Then we'll nail these people. |

Well he did'nt say. He did say he will redownload from our official mirrors. So I think someone really is making modded clients of TCE. Who wants to PM him? |

Well...sure looks like it, he reinstalled everything clean, I dont know where he get's his downloads that the problem is always the same. So it could be a modded client. |

lol. He says he got the client here http://www.ausgamers.com/files/details/html/24791 I never bothered trying this one out before I always get stuff from Eclipse. Probably modded. |
