say bye bye to PC, you never couldnt play the same type of ps3 games on PC, lol it would be lame, KEYBOARDS or you have to by a new pc controler, but it sucks you have to install evrything, not to mention the settings,, not user friendly,

is like this, pc is good for making games, and the games that came from the pc are good to play on consoles,

@Topic: How could this really work? I agree with Dragon that consoles offer a higher varity of game design and gameplay in general (maybe due to the big asian market?). But that's not what Silent & Xeno were talking about. How can a gamepad (no auto aim given) compete with a mouse regarding aming precision? However, in other genres, let's say Beat 'em up games, the mouse/keyboard combo has no chance against a good gamepad, imho.

For me the discussion PC vs. console is mailny a matter of immersion. I can "dive into" a 3D world (1st person) much better when I sit infront of my PC screen instead on my couch infront of the TV. But regarding "party" games you can play with your buddies (soccer, beat 'em up, arcade racing etc.) while drinking some beer, consoles are great.

and thats something you cant do on your pc,

consoles are more fun,

P.S. dont forget that a mouse is also available for a consoles, you can like plug in that mouse your on your console, "good for strategy games",

but the new ps3 joystick, will be revolutionary, if you wann steer, you can like move the joystick left and right, with out pressing any buttons,

Exactly. I think it's more like 2 different ways of gaming that both have a place in my life. The reason why I prefer the PC over consoles is just that I more often happen to play alone or with my buddies quite far away via the internet. The typical "now a console game would be great" situation just doesn't happen that often.

One more aspect is that I play games (if I don't play them with beer & buddies - I will refer to that as b&b from now on ) for immersion, for feeling like I actually was part of that virtual world. My fun increases with the ammount of interactivity, density of the atmosphere and the feeling of "seeing the virtual environment through the eyes of my avatar".
This has - for me - a lot to do with perspective and the absence of visual distraction, which works better on the PC. But I see that consoles have their advantages, too.

Umm dude...... PCs have been doing online WAY longer than consoles, so what's your point?

my point is, nowadays you can play games online on a console,
and consoles have better games than pc,

Well. Let's not forget that PC vs. Console debates are always pointless in the end. Can't we just conclude that it's a matter of taste?

The Xbox hits, such as Halo 1 & 2, don't have Autoaim features. But because it's more popular, there will be more experience console players playing your average Joe PC players and probably whipping their asses.
