wy are the leaves and trees so ugly and unrealistic?

i agree... bush's tree's and leaves should look way more detailed, its way too "low poly"

take a look at this picture: "True Combat" those leaves looks nice,

see how detailed it look, wet-engine can definitely handle it...

by the way, the "plants/small little bushes" looks nice though,

Do you know that those two bushes are the exact same thing coming from ET's set of premade stuff. There is nothnig you can do about the plants with this engine. They are preset and predesigned. Do you think the devs actually took time to make these? The trees maybe but these are all stock unless they did make these themselves. What do you mean way too lowpoly? Do you even have an idea as to how many poly in exact numbers are used for these? Do you even know how these bushes were made? If I had 3dsmax I will show you how these are made and poly count is insignificant. BTW, high poly above 1024 per model will not be supported by the Quake3 engine (I know that because Carmack himself said so in his GPL release notes)

It really is pretty sick to use multiple accounts to concede a point to .. uhm ... yourself. Even with a "cover story". Interesting how much the english skills in Jambo's two posts differ.

And Dragon: PLURAL in english is easy enough! It's mostly putting a "s" behind the substantive. There is no, repeat NO need for an apostrophe. It's pretty funny because many germans (not german's!) do the same.
