TrueCombat :: View topic - True Combat:ELITE needs A new game TITLE, True Combat:.?.?.?

it aint gonna be easy to rename something that people have have gone used to knowing already. this mod is famous as True Comabt Elite and its the best idea to keep it that way. As for the other titles you mentioned, those could be used for the minimods TT is planning to implement into the mod. (a mod of the mod can have a different name)

its not so bad.. nobody really looks at the game's title that much, when you play it, you play for the game not its name.

Same here, especially on dark, foggy, surrounded by bushes maps where me and my SPR rule. Can yyou imagine how it feels to have headshot after headshot on unsuspecting enemies, its really good. the best part was they never knew what hit them.

yeah, but thats better and sweeter if there was a prone-roll. They sneak up behind up, you drop the rifle, you roll out of the way, you roll face up, pull out the pistol and put in a couple rounds in their head. WOW. Johnwoo like.

"True Combat:ELITE" should be changed into, "True Combat:EVOLUTION" or "True Combat:EVOLVED" EVOLUTION and EVOLVED sounds more professional than ELITE, i've seen the updates, and it looks the team wanna make this game something professional, than the game TITLE should be professional too! any thoughts?

(a mod of the mod can have a different name) elite sounds amaturistic.. and besides, its not such A big issue if people need to get used to A new TITLE, when I played TCE for the first time, i kept calling TCE, TC but in the end, you get used to it, True Combat sounds something tough, and than this cheezy word "ELITE" is added on the game's name, wich ruin the hole professionalism

Well, im not so sure what the bad part about the word "elite" is. So far, this title has achieved alot of attention from the media (magazines and gaming news etc.) Its possible meaning is, since the first TC is mostly arcade-action, the Elite suffixed to TC, means that TC:ELite is a more realistic and tactical (or professional) than the first TC. Its like saying that TC:E is a professional FPS and not an arcade shooter. The title True Combat Evolved seems good for a minimod about hightech stuff. Stuff like new experimental weapons and junk like that. Fictional stuff and the like.

I think the title "True Combat: Elite" is well enough established that it might potentially be confusing to some if it were switched. Those are good names, though. If anyone does ever get around to making one, they would be good names for a mini-mod.

I think you must'nt rename the game because it isn't really know, for example in france. True combat : elite is a really nice name...

yes it is a nice name. it explains the profesionalism of the game and its players. Its too bad that not many players show professional attitude. They do TeamKilling, spawnkilling, vulgar language, and lack of team work.

That would be teh pwn@ge!!!iii It would also be cool with a melee attack. If they sneak up behind you. You can swing around and rifle butt them in the temple then bend over and break there neck... That would be more like Splinter Cell though. You can, obviously, tell I'm addicted to Splinter Cell.
