tce can earn some money if they sell merchendises but the name have to be change, because the name TRUE COMBAT, is way easy to remember than TRUE COMBAT ELITE, i saw some info on the itnernational website about they gonna change the name: TRUE COMBAT ELITE, into FOO COMBAT wich i personally think its A cool name. FOO COMBAT, but on topic, if there really gonna be some merchendises, can you devs send me some for free because im the one with this idea

I found the creation of this game to be quite ironic. A couple years ago, some friends and I wanted to make a really kick ass flash game RPG. We were looking for an original name and we actually were going to call it True Combat before we just gave up on the whole idea... Competely unrelated to this topic, just wanted to waste my breath. :p ~Silentcrisis |

Foo Combat was part of an April Fool's Day joke. True Combat refers to the Quake III version. True Combat Elite refers to the ET version. |

besides merchandising to boost popularity, the least we can to is invite new blood into the game. We could advertise on other forums we go to. We could add links to our forum signatures directing back to TCE.main and TCE.US plus add some small graphics to show off the work TT and G6 have done as well as the 3rdparty mappers. I havent really been in TCE lately, one reason is because im currently playing America's Army, the second is becasue im waiting for .49 and PoP to comeout |

if TT ever gonna decide to sell some merchendises than I hope its not like those merchendises where you can see a big super mario printed on the T-shirt, or where you can see a huge advertisement of the game on front side of the T-shirt, those type of merchendises are even more wacker than the mustache's of TCE"S terrorist models i do wanna have these kind of goodie's  those merchendises on those picture are just perfect, i actually would wear them outside, with some nice baggy/wide jeans, and some gold yellow boots. thats what i call "timeless style"

I think your excessively using the forum master image. THe TCE merchandise should feautre official TCE color schemes and logos with TT logos. Maybe a black T-shirt with the TCE titles on it over the TT wings logo. at the back would be the TCE specops sillohette. |

the forum master image looks professional, thats why I like it very much, the simplicity makes it look unique. TT's wing logo is awesome too though, i do not like the angel, it makes the hole design look too crowded. no offense!! but i think the name "Team Terminator" sounds cheezy, it sound like a freaking B movie name, i do like the studio name though, GROOVE SIX STUDIO'S, it sounds more professional. but "Team Terminator".... lol!! to be honest, when I played TC:E the very first time, i saw the Team terminator name on the intro.. i thought, damn this game must be made by some amatures, i wanted to reinstall it, but i decided to check out how the game really is, and I found out its a really awesome game... so my hole point is, a talented professional team dont deserve to be called Team terminator, it sounds freaking cheezy, but thats my opinion. |

face it, they call themselves Team Terminator. The name of the company or the game itself doesnt matter. What does is that the game is great and worth playing. |

yeah but if they gonna put the name "Team Terminator" on the t-shirt, you think im gonna buy it? HELL NO!! im not gonna wear a corny lame t-shirt with the name "Team Terminator" and i think allot of people think the same way too. |

I didnt say put the Team terminator name on it. All i said was use the winds as the bg to place behind the TrueCombat Elite text logo. the TCE avatar logo will be big at the back. then team terminator will be at the bottom but not in a very big form but just as a reminder. |

Discrete merchandise would be my personal preference e.g. Key rings, wallets, mouse mats, coffee mugs, lighters and stationery. _______________________+_______________________________ Or, similar to http://www.linuxemporium.co.uk/, sell CDs with the game, but charge "only for Cd" itself (£2-£5). _______________________+_______________________________ More on this matter – create custom Linux distribution with TC:E as standard package with nVidia and Ati driver option on installation menu. + That would also be relevant in SPONSORSHIP thread. |
