What do you think about little addon for our discussion board - shoutbox? Few months ago I was using Ajax Shoutbox on one of the Enemy Territory board, it was very good opportunity to talk with people and spam sometimes

I voted no because there are forums to spam - or since I've recently enabled news comments - people can anonymously spam on there

Yeah Diane, you're totally right. But sometimes you're visiting forums, there are some people online, but nobody posts a message. With shoutbox you will be able to talk to them quickly or just say "Hi" - and probably more people will spend their time on the website.

I might be wrong, but isn't that what irc is for

IRC is too complicated for a lot of people

If there ever were a shoutbox, it would be on the site and not the forum

That I would understand.

Shoutbox in forums is like (with Xhibit voice) "YO dawg! I heard you like chatting so we put forum in your forum so you can chat while chatting"

About IRC - look how many people are online on #tc:elite channel, but nobody talk for the most time. People there are like Q bot
